When folks ask what’s so special about Duncanville, many might bring up it’s proximity to popular sports venues (AT&T Stadium, Global Life Park, etc), Six Flags, the Museum of International Cultures, etc.
However, some would say an underlooked aspect in Duncanville is the beautiful lakes that the city is home to. Whether you want to canoe or just take in the beautiful water, Duncanville definitely has a couple of lakes that can fit most of your wants.
CEDAR RIDGE PRESERVE
Approximately ten minutes away from our Duncanville Hotel is the beautiful Cedar Ridge Reserve. If you’re the kind of person who would enjoy checking out a beautiful lake that is surrounded by trails, grasses, wild mammals, and other aspects which are entrenched in raw nature, this could definitely be a fun place to go to.
JOE POOL LAKE
If jet skiing, spending time in your boat, and lighting up your barbeque sounds like a fun idea, then make sure to head on over to Joe Pool Lake. This 1800+ acre marquee park is an approximate 20-minute drive from the Best Western hotel and has room for all sorts of different activities.
This 50+ acre park has an amazing body of water with a beautiful fountain and can be a good place to go out fishing with the family. Approximately ten minutes away from our hotel, the Lakeside Park also has plenty of amenities including a basketball court, volleyball court, a practice football field, playgrounds, and many more.
If you need more time to digest the beautiful lakes and raw nature that this city has to offer, and are enjoying taking a step back from the busyness associated with day-to-day life, then feel free to stay in for a night or two at the Best Western Plus Duncanville Hotel. We put the health and safety of our guests and staff members as a top priority.
